RGS-IBG Postgraduate Forum’s Annual Conference Training Symposium 2017

The RGS-IBG Postgraduate Forum is hosting ACTS, their Annual Conference Training Symposium, on 29th August 2017 at the Royal Geographical Society in London. PGF-ACTS is an annually organised training symposium consisting of series of workshops that focus exclusively on the postgraduate student experience.

ACTS sessions are a unique opportunity for geography postgraduates from across the country to meet, network and learn together. The symposium also serves as the perfect precursor to the Annual Conference programme, for those delegates who are presenting or attending. ACTS is also the ideal chance to find out more about how you can get more involved with the RGS-IBG’s postgraduate community.

This year’s Annual Conference theme is ‘Decolonising Geography’. To reflect this, we have worked hard to programme workshops that are complementary in nature, specifically looking at speaking to different audiences, wider research engagement, impact and post-PhD life.  If you are interested in registering for this event, then please head to and follow the instructions for Annual Conference Registration. Registration costs just £20. If you have already registered for the Annual Conference and would like to add this onto your programme, then please email

We will be posting more information here so keep your eyes on this page 🙂
